LORA BRANCH
Producer/Director/Writer
Lora currently serves as the Director of the Office of Gay and Lesbian Health at the Chicago Department of Public Health. She has also served as the Director of Capacity Building, Training and Technical Assistance unit and as a Public Health Administrator responsible for the Coordination of Youth Programs citywide in the Department's HIV/AIDS Public Policy and Programs Division. Since 1991 she has written and produced a number of cable television programs and in 1999 worked with UPN-TV to create "It's Not Over", winner of a local Emmy award for best public service announcement. As a graduate of Columbia College in Chicago, Lora has consistently sought to develop public health messages that are creative, meaningful and accessible to all people in need.

SHARON ZUREK
Director/Producer
Sharon is the owner of Black Cat Productions in Chicago and currently enjoys working on independent features, short films and social issue documentaries. Her film and video experience includes producing, directing and editing commercials, broadcast and corporate programs and independent films. Her most recent editing credits include the independent feature films, "Runaway Divas", "Stray Dogs", "Constructing Mulligan's Stew", "The Chameleon" and video mocumentary, "The Orphan Saint". She picked up a Best Editor award from Chicago Community Cinema for her work on Bruce Terris' short film, "Flying", which also screened at the 2002 Cannes International Film Festival. An alumni of Columbia College in Chicago, Sharon currently teaches editing as an Artist-in-Residence in the Film/Video Department.

ALLEN WRIGHT
Writer
Allen is an original member of the art and literary organization Other Countries: Black Gay Expression, and was with the performance group, Brother Tongue, both based in New York City. His writing has appeared in the anthology "Other Countries: Black Gay Voices", and the Lambda Award winning journals "The Road Before Us: 100 Black Gay Poets", and "Sojourner: Black Gay Voices in the Age of AIDS", for which he also served as consulting editor.

MARTHA SHAIFER HARTEL
Writer
A graduate from Columbia College, Martha has freelanced for many years in various capacities in the Midwest marketplace on commercials, industrials and feature films. Inspired, she has written several projects in various genres. She was a recent winner for a short script which won first place and a cash prize at Columbia College of Chicago. "Lemonade" tells a mysterious story about a little girl whose lemonade stand has bizarre effects upon her "customers". She collaborated as a writer on "Kevin's Room" and "Kevin's Room 2: Trust." This ensemble drama broke new ground, and won several film festival awards, for its clear eyed look at the urban gay culture and the challenges a typical group encounters.

INES SOMMER
Director of Photography
Based in Chicago, Ines is an independent filmmaker, cinematographer and educator. She received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Film/Video Department. Her work, ranging from short experimental films to personal documentaries, has screened at numerous festivals including the Berlin International Film Festival, Obherhausen International Short Film Festival, Ann Arbor Film Festival, Atlanta Film & Video Festival and many others.


ANNA NAKAJIMA
Editor
After four years of experience in the Japanese entertainment business, Anna came to the U.S. to study film. She graduated from Columbia College in Chicago with her Second B.A. in Film and Video. Based in Chicago, Anna is an editor and independent filmmaker. "Kevin's Room" was her debut as an editor, followed by this episode of "Kevin's Room: Part 2 - TRUST".

TOM YORE
Sound Recordist
TY has been recording films since Gus Van Sant's lost 1979 indie; "Alice in Hollywood". Along the way he has recorded a number of infamous films including "Henry, Portrait of a Serial Killer", "Hoop Dreams", "American High", "Kevin's Room", and millions of PBS documentaries. TY has also composed original music soundtracks for various films. He retired from film in 2002 to become a psychotherapist. Thankfully, he made a guest appearance to record the location sound for "Kevin's Room 2: Trust".
